The Wedding Chapel of Hell, Michigan was built in the summer of 2005. This small but festive chapel features a red tin roof, blue doors to keep out the evil spirits, and enough space inside to accommodate a wedding party of eight to ten people including the bride and groom. The blue doors signify the old belief that evil spirits cannot cross water. Accordingly, people would paint doors blue, symbolizing the water that keeps the evil spirits at bay. The Chapel sits upon a high bank of the Hell Creek. Our wedding chapel will bring you happiness in your marriage, as a marriage made in Hell has nowhere to go but up! We offer a guarantee: if it doesn’t work, we’ll do it again for free!

The fee to reserve the Chapel is $66, whether for marriage or renewal vows. Additional fees apply for space to hold an outdoor reception. Catering is also available. Call Screams Ice Cream at (734) 878-2233 for references and availability.
