Hell's Photo Gallery
Not only was Friday, October 13th, the only Friday the 13th in the year 2006, but it also happened to be the 165th birthday of Hell, Michigan... So of course, we threw a party! Hosted by Screams Ice Cream & Halloween, the birthday celebration included food, entertainment and special activities. In typical Friday the 13th fashion, what should have been a crisp, colorful fall day in Michigan was cloudy and very windy, with temperatures hovering just above freezing. But that didn't keep away folks who wanted to wish Hell ... and its mayor Odum Plenty ... a very happy birthday. Mayor Plenty says this was the first of many Friday the 13th celebrations to come. Next year, the months of April and July both have a Friday the 13th, and Hell will hold celebrations on those days as well.

Happy Birthday to Hell and dove into some
delicious birthday cake.

Our party included some magical fun. |

Visitors to Hell enjoyed ice cream and entertainment as they huddled in Screams to keep warm. |
A delicious cowboy meal prepared from the back of an authentic 1880s chuckwagon was a special treat
few people had experienced before. |

Nicholas Doubleday and Catherine Greene of San Diego, California, were married in Hell's wedding chapel on Halloween. The bride and groom, dressed as a vampire and knight, walked down the aisle to a funeral dirge instead of The Wedding March. |
All the guests, who also wore costumes, wished the bride and groom well. Remember, a marriage that starts in Hell has nowhere to go but up! |

For those of you who may be under the impression that Hell can’t freeze over, allow these photos to change your mind! As you can see, it got so cold this winter, even the dam in Hell froze over! We’re looking forward to a hot summer full of good times.
